Role: Recording, Editing, and Mix Engineer
In December 2025, I produced this acoustic cover for the duo Mark and Lyz S. Operating within a strict two hour studio session, I managed the full production lifecycle from simultaneous tracking in isolated booths to the final Pro Tools mix. By utilizing a dedicated room microphone and precise subtractive EQ, I was able to capture a warm and cozy sonic character while maintaining professional isolation and resolving technical hurdles in real time, like vocal plosives.
Technical specs
Tracked, edited, mixed, and mastered in Pro Tools with a focus on an authentic "live" sonic character.
Utilizing a multi mic array with a dedicated room microphone to ground the acoustic guitar and add organic spatial depth.
Managed real time technical issues including integrating a pop filter for backing vocals and subtractive EQ to blend minor guitar bleed.
